edit:
Okay..well I'm leaving the title, because I find it funny...How my hair looks like a beehive.
This is my first self portrait in, months I think. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome, especially the hair. It took about a million hairpins to get it right, alot of backcombing and too much hairspray. I might submit another from the series where you can see more of the hair, but this one is my favourite.
And, onto the technical blurb, since someone noted me asking how I got the light...
I set up a black piece of mountboard as my background next to a window...That's why there's quite a lot of light on the left side of my face. And I used another piece of card, again black, as a reflector sort of thing, although it was supposed to be more of a dimmer, to darken that side of my face. I think it worked quite well, yes...
So then, set up the tripod and took the shots with a remote!
Added a tad more contrast, grain, and converted to black and white in PS.
Oh, and, my lips aren't actually that big, (I wish! haha) I used lipliner to emphasise. Just thought I'd mention that.
thats so amazing, i love it!! how did you get your hair like that? I think that B&W makes it stand out realy nicely, if it was in colour it wouldn't look atal the same.
